In recent years, some foreign researchers have conducted comparative experiments on four chickens with three long feeds (deep cages) for low cost boiler poultry farm layout and design and four chickens with long chicken cages (shallow cages). The research report shows that A kind of chicken cage, although a one-time investment is large, but the economic effects in terms of egg production, egg-to-egg ratio, mortality rate, and egg breaking rate are far better than the former. This kind of chicken cage, because of its shallow depth, referred to as shallow cage, compared with the original deep cage, has the following advantages:
1) Good living conditions for low cost boiler poultry farm layout and design. Although the two chicken cages are closed to four chickens, in the deep cage, there is often a chicken behind. The chicken is a hungry person and often a weak person. If one quarter of the chickens in a chicken house are in the above state, the egg production will be affected. Comparative experiments showed that the shallow cage yield increased by an average of 4.75 compared with the deep cage. This means that a 200,000-scale laying hen that produces 400-500 million pounds of eggs a year will provide 200,000 jin of eggs to the country and increase income by about 200,000 yuan. Only this one can recover one-time equipment investment in three or five years.
2) The density of cage feeding is high for low cost boiler poultry farm layout and design. The number of chickens raised per square meter of cage bottom is called the cage density. It is an important indicator of the economics of cage design. According to the survey, the chicken farms kept in shallow cages have higher cage feeding densities. For example, Guangzhou Chicken Farm, Sichuan, Shanghai and other provinces and cities designed shallow cages, the cage feeding density is above 28 / m 2, close to the international level. No matter which kind of word cultivation method, using shallow cage design, it will significantly improve the economic effect, and has a special effect on the whole step feeding.
